Downloading and installing a free evaluation version of Cosepp Technology v5, which also includes the Shares Information System, in your computer involve the following two broad steps.

Step 1.   Download, individually from this website, each of the following six (6) files to the hard disk of drive C of your computer, altogether into any folder. Each file must be downloaded individually. Click on any file name, coloured in blue and underlined below, to commence the downloading procedure:

NB. The file setup.lst above is a text (ascii) file, and some internet browsers may display its contents on the screen in lieu of trying to download it as an entire file. If this should happen, either email us for a copy of it, or copy the file which has been downloaded to your own folder (subdirectory), c:\windows\temporary internet files, or do the following:

• Use a text editor and open an empty text (ascii) file called SETUP.LST
• Highlight all the contents displayed, and press CTRL+C
• Paste to SETUP.LST (press CTRL + V)
• Save the file SETUP.LST

Step 2.    Install in your computer -

System Requirements.   An Intel Pentium chip (or higher processor provided there is downward compatibility), running on Windows 95 or higher with a minimum 15 inches VGA or higher resolution screen supported by Microsoft Windows. Clones of the Intel Pentium chip (or higher processor) will probably not install Cosepp Technology v5 in your computer.

The installation of the Cosepp Technology v5 files takes up about 12 MB of hard disk space. In addition, the computer must have a minimum 32 MB of free hard disk space and 32 MB extended random memory ('RAM').

Screen resolution.    The System is best viewed with a screen resolution of 640 x 480 high colour, with a minimum 15 inches VGA or higher resolution screen supported by Microsoft Windows.

Installation.   If you have the above system requirements, and once all the above six (6) files have been successfully downloaded into the same folder of drive C in your computer, exit from the internet and communications connection.

Now double click on the file setup.exe that is in your computer, and then follow the instructions as they come up on the screen.

Kindly ensure that you have all the above six (6) files downloaded in the same folder in your computer, otherwise the installation of Cosepp Technology v5 cannot be carried out when you subsequently double click setup.exe therein.

Make sure that the installation folder (subdirectory) for starting Cosepp Technology v5 is the following:
                      c:\cos_tech\cos5
Otherwise the System will not run or will not run properly.

Once properly installed, Cosepp Technology v5 gets listed in the programs menu of the desktop start menu. You can create your own desktop shortcut, if you wish, by the usual Windows procedures.
